Dear Jim and Larry, I do think you guys have an exceptional gift for making people feel at home in your extraordinary house and want to confirm my appreciation for your attentions. Not since I was ten has anyone turned down my bed; not since I was last in a hospital have I been left a carafe of water. Only at parties have I been served wine and fine nuts in a garden and not, again since I was a child have I rocked on a front porch. I have had breakfasts such as yours in New Orleans and the Cotswolds but never three in a row of such variety of fruit and egg concoctions. …. I feel compelled to say that our stay with you was a highlight of our Maine experience. Sincerely yours, Annette Hernson (Newark, Delaware, July, 2005)

Dear Jim and Larry, Kent and I thank you for welcoming us so warmly into your home. This was my first experience in a bed & breakfast and I’m certain there will never be one as memorable and lovely as this one. The Victorian Room is so romantically decorated. So many of your beautiful touches reminded me of my mother’s things. The breakfasts were divine. I felt so spoiled by your service to us, Jim, and of course by your talent in the kitchen…Chris and Kent Kanoy (Canboro, North Carolina, August, 2006)

Dear Jim and Larry, Just wanted to say thank you so much.  We really enjoyed our stay.  I don’t think we have ever stayed in such a beautiful home.  You have really put a lot of work into it and it shows.  Wow. Jim: thanks for the dinner suggestion.  It turned out to be the best place to eat out of all the ones we stopped at.  And your breakfast was awesome.  Just wish we had more time to stay.  So much to take in and so little time.  Once again thanks to both of you for making this a really enjoyable vacation. David and Elizabeth Brown Memphis, TN September, 2007

Dear Larry and Jim, We wanted to thank you for your wonderful hospitality.  Our recent stay at your beautiful Bed and Breakfast was one of the highlights of our trip “East.”   We so appreciated your warm and friendly ways and your talent for making strangers feel like old friends.  The breakfast was certainly enjoyed by all of us.  Our compliments to the chef.  You are both in the right profession because you are definitely naturals at running a delightful B&B.  Thank you again for making us feel so welcome in your lovely home.   Kathy and Dan Jacoby , Flint, Michigan  October, 2009

Dear Jim and Larry, Diane and I loved our visit to your home in Bath.  You made our stay very memorable and we will never forget the magical atmosphere of the Moses Mansion.  Maine is a very unique place and is so different from other East coast destinations both in terms of the hospitality of the people and the natural environment along the midcoast.  I’ll always think fondly of Jim’s attention to every detail and Larry’s easy-going nature and great sense of humor.  Sincerely¸Diane and Greg Anderson, Cleveland, Ohio September, 2010

Dear Jim and Larry, Now that I am back in Belgium, I feel the need to share my feelings about my stay in your house with you.  Let me first say that I never do that.  So if this is an exception, it is mainly because the experience was also exceptional.  After our stay in your mansion we stayed in several other B&Bs along the coast which were very nice.  But no place could compete with yours because at yours I had all in one:  a beautiful setting, a tasteful decorated house, small but lovely attentions (the water at night, the bed opened), a wonderful breakfast served with class and elegance, two dedicated and funny persons¸a lovely housekeeper who makes dolls, and your clm and elegant greyhound.  If I could ake a wish, like in Aladin’s lamp, it would be that you were at a weekend distance and that I could be there many times each year.  I will never forget this stay.  With kindest regards,  Grace Winter  ( October, 2010)

Dear Jim and Larry, We were pleasantly greeted at the front door by Jim and the greyhound, Summer. My wife was immediately in love with the house, Jim and of course, the dog. After settling into our room, we headed downstairs to go to dinner and were greeted by Larry who inquired where we were going to eat. He promptly recommended specific menu items to try. We did and his recommendations were excellent. As many of the other reviewers have commented, breakfast was a highlight of the day. Jim was busy in the kitchen. Larry broke the guests early morning shyness with his witty comments. But more importantly, he discovered peoples interests which allowed the guests to make connections with one another. Larry and Jim also used their discoveries about their guests to make recommendations for the days activities. Our stay at the Galen Moses house is the best lodging experience we have ever had. We are already planning a return visit next year.   Don U (Denver, CO, Sept. 2011)

Dear Jim and Larry,    Thank you for a wonderful stay in your beautiful Inn.  We have provided the following information to your guest comments on Trip Advisor:  “The inn is in a quiet residential neighborhood, but a short, pleasant walk to the center of town-which is an extraordinary place as well. Decor is simply stunning-all the rooms, guest and public areas, are grand, and worth the trip. Breakfast is either full or continental, both are excellent. The hosts know the local area, and are both gracious and go out of their way to respond to quests requests for anything from beach towels to dining recommendations. And speaking of beaches, both Fort Popham and Reid State Park are close by-two great sandy beaches on the rocky coast of Maine. If you haven’t figured it out, pack your bags and stay for a weekend or a week.”  MWitz (Montpelier, VT, July, 2011)
